A lefty email received from a Patriot:
Subject: Invitation: Conference Calls to Discuss Americas
Great Outdoors Progress Report
Dear Local Leader,
You are cordially invited to join the America’s Great
Outdoors Steering Committee with representatives from the White House Council
on Environmental Quality, Department of the Interior, U.S. Department of
Agriculture, Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers on Monday, October 17 for a conference call to discuss the America’s
Great Outdoors (AGO) progress report.
America’s Great Outdoors is a Presidential initiative
across 15 Federal agencies building a conservation agenda for the 21st Century.
AGO is making a significant difference on the ground –
from youth employment gains to historic conservation investments in large
landscapes like the Everglades, and from new trail designations to the creation
of urban parks and revitalization of urban rivers.
The implementation plan outlines how in the years ahead,
the Federal Government will build upon these initial successes by pressing for
more efficient approaches in places where federal programs have the greatest
potential to help communities produce conservation and restoration gains,
strengthen economies, and connect Americans with their great outdoors.
There will be two conference calls on Monday. To join
either call please RSVP to
with the call # in the subject line.
